Job description

About the opportunity

An exciting opportunity has come up for a 2+ year PQE level, ideally with ability to speak Chinese in order to work with a culturally diverse clientele which involves a mix of kiwi and Chinese clients. The firm has an established client base that provides a steady flow of files to work on a range of matters. The partners encourage a culture that is welcoming, approachable, supportive and flexible, allowing you to develop your skills and progress internally at the firm.

You'll work in a close knit team and the work will involve a mix of residential and commercial property transactions, commercial leasing, business transactions, shareholder agreements, subdivisions and property development, trusts and financing work.

About you

You will be someone with:
  • 2+years experience in property work (those with a general practice legal background looking to hone their skills in residential and commercial property work are of interest too);
  • Mandarin and/or Cantonese speaking skills are highly preferred;
  • good interpersonal skills and the ability to juggle priorities; and
  • ability to hold a NZ practising certificate.
If you're looking to hone your skills in property law within a firm that has a strong reputation for its work and team based culture in place to allow you to advance your career with mentorship, then get in touch with us today.

You must be a NZ qualified lawyer and ideally with some private practice experience to apply for this role.
