Job description

The Firm:

As a trusted national law firm, our client’s workload is consistently busy in the employment law space. They are now looking to hire an intermediate-level lawyer to join their firm and specialise in employment law. This is a firm with an established brand in the market and is led by an experienced partnership that cares about the development of their staff. If you want to be part of a progressive firm that has a collaborative approach and a supportive environment then this is an opportunity you don’t want to skip over.

The Position:

As an intermediate solicitor with employment experience, you will be dealing with employment-related matters, both contentious and non-contentious. Whether it be representing the employer or employee by providing advice or settling a dispute, you will have the chance to take the reins on most matters to complement your existing employment law experience. You will work with a diverse client base ranging from individuals to SMEs to large national businesses. There will be support from the partners and other seniors as well as a career path for your progression.

About You:
  • 3+ years PQE in employment law (if employment was part of your general practice/litigation experience that will also be considered);
  • Experience in leading hearings and mediations;
  • Appearing at mediations and/or the Employment Relations Authority would be highly regarded (but not necessary);
  • Dealt with employers on restructures and drafting employment contracts as well as representing individuals across a wide variety of claims;
  • High standard of written and verbal communication skills.
Perhaps you aren’t gaining as much progression in your current firm as you could be, or are interested in a diverse role at a firm that promotes career development? Be in touch to find out more!
