Job description

The Opportunity:

This is a unique litigation opportunity that could suit someone that is looking for a role on a short term basis (e.g. before heading overseas or if you're in a transitionary phase), likewise it could well suit someone wanting 4 days per week with flex, if a traditional full time role is not what you're after. Our client is open to different options for the right person.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking firm and be involved in an interesting mix of dispute resolution matters. They are now looking to take on an experienced litigator with 5+ years experience working on claims that can range from insolvency/restructuring matters, shareholder disputes, contractual disputes, breach of director duties, professional negligence, property disputes and related commercial litigation work.

You will be someone who enjoys variety in a role and being immersed from start to finish on complex litigation files. You'll be working with a highly regarded partner, that will allow you to take on a good degree of file management responsibility but also provide you with adequate support and mentorship as well. There is the chance to get involved in High Court trial and develop your oral advocacy skills if you wish.

About you:
  • 5+ years' PQE in litigation (ideally with some experience in commercial litigation and insolvency/restructuring work);
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to cut through issues; and
  • Experience gained in a reputable firm and knowledge of High Court rules and civil procedure.
