Job description

About the opportunity

This is a rare opportunity to do a mix of civil litigation, regulatory and criminal litigation work (and employment if that's an area of interest) as part of a well-regarded litigation and dispute resolution team.

Our client has a diverse practice that includes defences for regulatory prosecutions, fraud, sexual charges and other civil litigation matters (contractual claims, property disputes, breach of director duty cases etc). As part of a close-knit team, this is a role where there will be mentorship to develop your skills further, but work in a flat structured team doing hands on work at the same time so that you can have real involvement in the files you're a part of. You'll be able to work with autonomy and be supported by the firm.

About you
  • 4+ years PQE with experience in drafting submissions and court applications, sound legal research and analytical skills (those with 3 years experience may be considered);
  • Some advocacy experience;
  • A decent academic record (ideally B average or higher);
  • An interest in furthering your litigation career.
This is a unique role that doesn't come by every day, where you can get regular time in court. You may be a criminal lawyer looking to diversify your experience while keeping your hand in criminal law work. Likewise, you may be a general litigator where you're looking for a more diversified mix of work and getting time in court. Whichever the case, enquire now to find out more.
